Our purpose as an organization is to provide a liaison between Mountain View Elementary School parents and the school staff. We work to secure the best possible education for our school's children through joint efforts of the educators and general public.

Mountain View Elementary Parent Teacher Organization is a non-profit organization which supports the students, parents, and staff of Mountain View Elementary School in Longmont, CO. We are a group of dedicated parents who volunteer our time and talents, not only to ensure our students success, but the success of our school and ALL of its students.
We are always looking for new volunteers. We know parents are busy people, and we value and respect your time! Even if you can only volunteer for a specific event or portion of an event, we would love to have you! If you are interested in volunteer opportunities, contact us on FaceBook, through the school, or pop into one of our meetings.
A lot of people hear "PTO" and fundraisers are the first thing that comes to mind. Do we run fundraisers? Yes, absolutely. However, there is much more to what we do. We also sponsor and coordinate numerous school events. Some of our events include the Annual Talent Show, Harvest Festival, Earth Day Events, and the Spring Dance. We use our fund-raising success to provide many benefits to our students and our school. We provide bus transportation for the student field trips, new books and technology, the Junior Great Books curriculum, and much more. Most importantly, we provide an avenue for the parents to come together and to be a part of their child's education.
